FAQ

Common questions

How do I get an API key?

Sign in to the portal and open Account > API Keys. How many keys you can create depends on your plan; each key is granted a permission level per module (None, Read, Write or Delete), set when the key is created. Rate limits are not per key: screening endpoints allow 120 requests per minute per tenant, shared across all of your keys.

Where can I find SDK documentation?

The SDKs (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go) are not published yet - the SDKs page tracks their status. You do not need one: the API works with any HTTP client, and the quickstart walks through a first call.

How long do verifications take?

Sanctions and PEP screening return in seconds. Document checks (Passporter) are in development. KYB lookups depend on the source registry and can take noticeably longer. These are typical behaviours, not commitments - contracted uptime and response targets are agreed in your contract; see the SLA page.

How do I escalate a customer dispute?

Open a support ticket through the portal and set its priority to High. Compliance and Enterprise plans include named CSMs.

Can I bring my own datasets?

Not today. Every customer screens against the same platform datasets, listed on the Datasets page; private watchlists are not supported.

Is on8 SOC 2 compliant?

Not yet. We plan to apply for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001; see the Trust Center for the current status of each.
