6-Step Pipeline

From company name to full ownership graph.

01

Entity Identification

Root entity resolved to a company id with POST /screening/kyb/lookup (name, company number, or LEI). Jurisdiction, registration date, and legal form confirmed from the registry match.

02

Shareholder Graph Traversal

All direct shareholders and their ownership percentages retrieved. Each shareholder becomes a new traversal node, down to the depth the request asks for.

03

Nominee & Shell Detection

Signal flags applied per node: thin capitalisation, nominee director, BVI/Seychelles/Panama incorporation, missing trading activity.

04

Sanctions & PEP Screening

Every node, corporate and individual, screened against 450+ watchlists and PEP data. Match scores returned per node.

05

UBO Resolution

True economic beneficial owners identified at the ownership threshold the request sets (a percentage, 10 or 25). Sanctioned UBOs flagged with their evidence path.

06

Graph API Response

The full graph returned as JSON: the resolved beneficial owners and the entity tree (companyId, ubos, tree). Pair with kyb/sanctioned-control for an OFAC 50%-rule verdict.

Capabilities

See through every corporate layer.

Configurable Depth Traversal

POST /screening/kyb/ubo follows the chain 1 to 6 layers deep, 3 by default, through holding companies, trusts, and nominees to reach the true UBO.

  • Depth 1–6, default 3
  • Circular ownership detection
  • Cross-jurisdiction tracing

Sanctioned Control (OFAC 50%)

POST /screening/kyb/sanctioned-control aggregates a sanctioned owner's effective stake up the ownership chain and returns an OFAC 50%-rule verdict.

  • OFAC 50% aggregation
  • CONFIRMED / POSSIBLE / MINORITY
  • Effective stake per owner

Nominee & Shell Signals

Per-node signal flags, not a single score: offshore incorporation, nominee directors, no trading history, thin-capitalisation signals.

  • Offshore jurisdiction flags
  • Nominee director detection
  • Trading activity signals

PEP Network Mapping

PEP relatives, associates, and business partners surfaced across the ownership graph, not just the named individual.

  • Associates & family
  • Business partner links
  • PEP level per node

Corporate Structure Map

The full legal entity tree returned by kyb/ubo: subsidiary chains, holding companies, and cross-jurisdiction links.

  • Subsidiary chains
  • Ownership tree (nodes + edges)
  • Cross-jurisdiction links

Officers & Directors

Registry officers and directors per company node via kyb/officers, exposing nominee and shared-director patterns across the structure.

  • Registry officer list
  • Shared-director links
  • Nominee director flags
