In development: Passporter will capture a passport, ID card or driving licence, extract its fields with OCR, and run authenticity checks against known templates and security features, returning a structured, scored result.
The template library is designed to cover passports, national IDs and driving licences across 190+ countries and 12,000+ document types.
Names, dates, document numbers, MRZ and expiry are read automatically and returned as structured JSON, no manual typing for the user.
Each scan is checked against the expected template, security features and consistency rules to flag tampering, photocopies and forgeries.
Cross-validates MRZ against the visual zone and applies checksum logic so altered or mismatched fields are caught automatically.
Blur, glare and crop are scored at capture so unreadable images are rejected before they reach a reviewer, with the aim of lifting straight-through rates.
Every verification returns the extracted data, authenticity verdict and the template version used, a clean evidence record for compliance.
